A Team
The game was about improvement and tactical awareness.
Our first effort was powerful, our second effort in the tackle put us on the front foot to move forward and place the Cove under constant pressure all day. They couldn't settle as we were relentless in our approach to the contest. We had 14 committed people who never gave up. I was truly astounded by our resolve, I knew you all had it in you but on Saturday it all came together.
Our strength at the back Scott,Russell and Grima were outstanding. Well done to John Hamp on his first full game - a great job done well and congratulations to Craig on his first outing for the Thunder. The midfields work rate was the catalyst for our drive Kev (likes to make friends doesn't he), Steve, Dave and Stewy played above this division - 'pure class' I look forward to to see them push to a higher level.
After a cooling mark down with a water bottle, Mark was told to mark their full back out of the game to stop their drive this was an a plus effort from Mark - well done kid.
Congratulations to Tim (1) and Dazz (2) on their goals (all headers go figure). Remember guys Dazz loves a celebration when it comes to scoring - get there its rewarding.
You should all be very proud of yourselves with a game played at that intensity. If you keep listening and maintain the work ethic that over the weeks has seen you improve as a team we should be in for an enjoyable season.
