Round 3: Sturt Marion V Adelaide Uni

A Team

After another hard fought game the team has shown much improvement in all aspects of the game.

Adelaide lions came to Thunder Park as the top side and as seen are a good unit. At times we gave them to much space for them to play. To move up the ladder the mistakes have to be minimised.

Our work rate was commendable as you pushed yourselves to a higher level - can you go further?

Our back line was solid with Scott commanding the area with many superb saves. You have got to love watching the guy in full flight "poetry in motion " Dazz's flair with the ball and use of the body showed class with his disposal. Russell,Grimma and Clarkey's strength and dependability kept the Lions front runners at bay. A solid back four effort.

Steve and Dave's work rate through the middle of the park all day was of a high standard. This created opportunities for Kev and Stewy to supply Mark and Tim with the ball.

Great to see Tim rewarded for his efforts with a fine goal after a stint on the bench, earlier this year. Tim worked tirelessly all day and with a bit more luck could have scored more.

Mark's effort again was top shelf though a times his mind left his body behind but when you get crunched as he did on many occasions you can understand why he want's to get away quickly.

Looking ahead to this weeks clash with the Cove there will be no love lost between the two sides which should make for a great battle.

In closing congratulations on a game well played a high intensity and played in good spirit, was a pleasure to watch and coach. Hard to pick the votes for the best and fairest though that is a good problem to have.

See you on the track.
