A Team
On the day we are as good as any team in Division 1.
There are days when you can't buy a goal or get a break.
I'm sure a few of you lads are feeling the physical effects of a hard fought game up there in the sticks.
We started with a good physical presence but due to some inaccurate passing and control we found ourselves on the back foot. We did not use the the full width of both sides of the park to our advantage in the first 20 minutes and for the rest of the half we played catch up football. At times we lacked patience in our build up.
The second half we proved on the day we are as good as any team in Division 1 and played Stirling off the park. Everyone pushed themselves to the limit with good use of the ball, excellent passages of play patience when needed and explosive speed to put Stirling on the back foot. There talked stopped as did their use of the ball.
The game was played in the best spirit from what I heard from Stirling. A memorable game considering the game was played in the middle third of of the pitch. We didn't come away with the points but as a club we came away stronger and united to improve ourselves for the next challenge. bring it on.
See you on the track.
The Proud Gaffer.
P.S. thanks to all the backroom staff for your assistance on the day.
